In 2019-20, our pedagogical development focus was on Open Textbooks and OER. Co-facilitated by Tim Clarke and Tina Hertel, this learning community explored various aspects of open education and focused on developing sustainable and effective practices for Muhlenberg. This initiative grows out of our efforts over several years to deepen our understanding and abilities to enact open educational practices at Muhlenberg. The website for this initiative is here: https://oer.plc.bergbuilds.domains/.

Also in 2019-20, building on early success and a growing interest in audio podcasting, Jenna Azar convened a podcasting teaching collective.  This collective engaged faculty from diverse disciplines, librarians, technologists and administrators exploring how podcasting can expand student learning, engagement and voice.

The Digital Learning Team collaborates with the Muhlenberg Center for Teaching and Learning on a popular annual event, the Digital Brew. Jenna Azar originated this event in 2016 in the spirit of highlighting and sharing the many creative ways that our colleagues pair digital tools with pedagogical goals, as well as the partnerships with Digital Learning Team members and student Digital Learning Assistants that help sustain these digital practices.

Throughout the year, the Digital Learning Team offers a variety of opportunities to learn about digital tools and practices.  Videos of past Tech Talks are archived at []
